The #3 Coming Back to Nascar!

For the first time since 2001 a black #3 will return to a Nascar top series full time.

Richard Childress Racing will field the familiar black #3 full time this season in the Nascar Camping World Truck Series. The truck will be driven by 19 year old rising star Austin Dillon.Austin,who is the grandson of Richard Childress, has driven a number 3 car in every level of racing he has run in.

Many fans have wondered if the #3 would ever be used again.Since the death of Dale Earnhardt the number has not seen the track full time in any of Nascar's top 3 series.Austin will be driving the Bass Pro Shops #3 full time this season and fans will recognize the familiar black paint scheme that has long been associated with the #3 in racing.

The pressure will be tough for Austin to run good giving the history associated with the number.
